@rG1vZ I use the Holo for EVERY gun aside from sniper rifles obviously. It works wonders. I actually just unlocked the G36c tonight and it is my favorite carbine, HK53 is second though. Both of which are amazing. I recommend the holo, but it’s your preference. I like the holo because it’s a wider area of view while aimed, but that’s just me.
@Aleksisti I use the M39 MBR or whatever attached with a ACOG, Bipod, and Laser Sight. I very rarely switch the scopes because I am not that great of a sniper to begin with so if you add in the scope sway of a 12X or even 7 or 8X, I’m pretty much useless. So I stick with my little 4X ACOG, but it makes me feel cheap in close quarters because they are so powerful and I can basically turn it into a 3 round burst.

ALSO, I think the most NOOB gun of BF3 is the USAS-12 equipped with the frag rounds.. thats just brutal. just fuckin up those corners, along with the enemies, with that noob auto-shotgun-shit. I HATE THAT so I don’t use it.
I think the most useful gun I’ve used would be in Recon, the SKS sniper rifle: with the PKA-S Holographic sight and undoubtedly the Foregrip and the Laser Sight OR Suppressor ( depends on the map ). The SKS is a semiautomatic gun which – in good hands – is very, very effective also in close range, fired from the hip to the head of the enemy. And ’cause of the PKA-S short-range sight it also does fair work on long ranges. SO thats the weapon of my choice.

@F22PilotArcile I always thought they were SMGs because with the UMP you get the “Personal Defence Weapon” ribbon, at least that’s what I remember.
@NeoBlackie The game classifies it as a carbine. But you think the Engineer class has a submachine gun as a primary weapon. Why don’t you go play BF3, get 7 kills or whatever it takes to get the carbine ribbion, then get a submachine gun like a UMP .45 and get a submachine gun ribbon for it. Then come back here and say, “Oops, I can’t accept the fact that DICE changed up the classes a bit.

@F22PilotArcile I don’t think all the BF3 weapons are exactly in real life, and I couldn’t care less, if you know the errors with the weapons classification, good for you, but they can’t add more damage to a weapon classified as an SMG, even if it’s an error, people would complain about it.
Misleading information always end up in videogames, don’t be angry about it.
And about shotguns, that’s an element of the game that has nothing to do with the damage of the G3.
@NeoBlackie So just because a game says something, its true? The SCAR-H is in there, but its an assault rifle, as with the M4, another carbine. Also, I’ve seen some shotgund in the Engineer class, but from your logic, a shotgun is a submachine gun soley on the reason that’s its in an Engineer class. I think it even tells you the classification of the weapon.
The subject is the G36C, not explosives. But I agree with you there, there’s some real bullshit regrding explosives in BF3.
@F22PilotArcile Dude, why do you take it so seriously? I don’t give a fuck about real life weapons because that knowledge is useless, it’s a fucking videogame. The weapon is in with the engineer class, which uses SMGs, that, for me, justifies the low damage of the gun.
You shouldn’t never compare a videogame with real life, even if it’s a simulator, it just ends up bad.
It’s funny that you complain about the type of bullets a gun uses when sometimes a grenade to the feet doesn’t kill the target.

@NeoBlackie The G36C is not a submachine gun, it is a carbine variant of the G36 assault rifle. Submachine guns fire pistol cartridges. Stop taking your weapon information from video games or commentor that don’t know what they are talking about.
I finally unlocked this gun like a week ago or so and i love it, it just feels right to me. i run the holo sight, fore grip and silencer. just a great weapon.
